Booking & Cancellation Policy
Private Lesson Pricing
-
The pre-payment discount is only available when payment is received before the first lesson of the package. Payments made after the lesson date will be charged the single-lesson price multiplied by four for the month.
-
Four-lesson packages are designed to be completed within the same calendar month to maintain consistent progress.
-
Cancellations and Make-ups
-
We understand life happens!
-
To remain eligible for a make-up session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation. *Without this notice, the lesson is forfeited and billed at full price.
-
Lessons are held to a strict schedule. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered a "no-show," resulting in a cancelled session and a full charge.
-
If a lesson is missed with proper notice, a make-up session will be scheduled within five weeks of the first of the month. Please note that make-up credits do not roll over to the following month's tuition.
-
-
We offer one "short-notice" illness cancellation every 90 days at no charge. The instructor will provide specific dates for your rescheduled session.
-
To ensure the safety of both horse and rider, the instructor reserves the right to adjust lesson length based on weather conditions, rider stamina, or concentration levels.

Lesson Attire & Requirements
-
Riders must wear boots with a hard 1/2-inch heel (no sneakers, sandals, or flat-bottom shoes allowed). Paddock boots with half chaps or tall boots are required after your fourth lesson.

Testimonials

Our experience at Hill Crest Farm has been wonderful! From the fabulous instructors, friendly staff, thoughtful riders and beautiful horses (and kitties) our daughter loves her time learning about horses and riding!

After losing my horse and taking a long hiatus, I wasn’t sure I’d ever return to the sport. Finding Hill Crest Farms in my late twenties has been a total turning point. Lisa and Terri have an incredible ability to meet adult riders where they are, perfectly blending technical expertise with genuine encouragement. For the first time in years, I’m excited to be at the barn. I can’t recommend Hill Crest enough to anyone seeking a professional, supportive home for their equestrian journey.

So glad we moved our daughter's horse here. She's much more content and is well taken care of. Lessons with Lisa and Heather are great. They work with your goals and abilities. My daughter has improved within a short period of time.
